Sure, if you can afford to do it. Why not tip everyone you see while racking up charges on the old credit card?

If they go out of there way to be extremely helpful and it impresses you then it is a nice gesture. However it is not necessary or expected. Also some places will not allow them to accept tips as demonstration is a part of there job.

I say no! Free is free, he most certainly would not expect to be tipped for such a service. He gets paid for these demos by the make up company. I’ve never heard of any body tipping a make up artist in a department store. If, however, you go to a salon and see a licensed estetician, then yes you would tip him.

As far as tipping goes, I always ask. Usually, they cannot accept tips, but they like you to buy something. Personally, I have never been to a make up counter that accepts tips, but I am sure it depends on where you are. It really depends on the counter. Lancome, for instance, does not require you to purchase anything, (at least not the ones I have been to), but as a courtesy I always do. Chanel, on the other hand, requires a minimum purchase. I always follow the age-old rule: When in doubt, always ask. Hope this helps!
